Project 01 · Custom Fabrication & Design
Promotional Go-Kart Display Stands
Challenge: To design and build two display stands for Go-Karts to be used for advertising at the Bullring in Birmingham. The stands needed to be visually striking while being easy to move and set up in a busy shopping centre.
Solution: I designed and constructed the stands from scratch using timber framing and OSB/MDF. To solve the mobility issue, I created custom wheel dollies that attach to the bottom, allowing the heavy stands to be easily relocated and secured in place. The final finish included aluminium tread plates and branded panelling.
Result: Professional, highly functional display stands that showcase the karts perfectly while solving the logistical challenge of moving them safely around the venue.

Project 02 · Bespoke Interior
MDF Panelling – Hall, Stairs & Landing
Challenge: Transforming a standard hallway and
staircase into a sophisticated, character-filled entrance while keeping within a strict budget.
Solution: I custom-designed and installed
moisture-resistant MDF wainscoting. I precision-scribed every panel to fit uneven walls, and expertly
mitered joints following the complex rake of the stairs.
Result: A timeless, high-end "heritage" look that added
significant style and value, ready for a flawless paint finish.

Project 03 · Rope Access
Rotten Sash Window & Sill Repairs
Challenge: Heritage sash windows and sills suffering
from severe rot and decay, compromising structural integrity and weatherproofing—inaccessible
without scaffolding.
Solution: I carefully excised rotten timber sections
and spliced in new, treated hardwood using rope access. I used high-quality two-part resin to restore
the original profiles seamlessly.
Result: Weather-tight, structurally sound windows
retaining original character, saved from costly full replacement—40% cheaper than scaffolding
alternatives.

Project 04 · Feature Interior
Feature Wall Panelling with Integrated Media Hub
Challenge: A customer wanted an elegant feature wall
concealing all media equipment while providing easy access for TV mounting and cable management.
Solution: I built a full-wall MDF panelling system with
integrated recesses for media connections. I added a discreet lower cupboard with a removable panel to house
the Sky router and electrical equipment.
Result: A sophisticated panelled wall combining
aesthetic appeal with practical functionality—all cables and equipment concealed behind clean
lines.
Project 05 · Bespoke Build
Bespoke Kitchen Carousel
Challenge: A difficult corner kitchen space required
a custom rotating storage solution that couldn't be sourced off-the-shelf.
Solution: I designed and built a full-radius carousel
from scratch. I precision-cut curved MDF components, laminated them, and assembled them with industrial-grade
rotating mechanisms, fitting them seamlessly into the corner unit.
Result: A smooth-operating, space-maximising storage
solution transforming an awkward corner into the most functional part of the kitchen.
Project 06 · Custom Fabrication
Custom Arcade Cabinet — On-Site Build
Challenge: A Go Karting company wanted a retro
arcade cabinet to house their PC workstation, with the screen at eye level and the computer
concealed below.
Solution: I designed and built a full-size arcade
cabinet from MDF on-site. I created the iconic angled top section for the screen, integrated cable
management, and built a lower cabinet with an access door.
Result: An authentic arcade experience with modern
functionality—combining nostalgic design with practical computer housing.
